Step Outside Nature Retreat

Forest landscape with tall trees and mountains at sunrise

August 14-17, 2025 Salida, Colorado

Step away from the noise and into a weekend of rest, reflection, and connection. Nestled in the stunning natural landscape of Salida, Colorado, this intimate retreat is designed for women seeking renewal, clarity, and meaningful community.

  • This retreat is for women who want to get away from their everyday and experience fun and relaxation in a nature filled setting.

Think girls’ weekend without the social pressures and hangover.

  • Outside Design is a beautiful, unique space that was repurposed from a youth camp. Think glamping with enough rustic charm to make you feel like you’re not at home, but enough comforts to feel like you’re at a retreat.

There’s a central bathhouse with 4 private bathrooms (sink, shower and toilet), so you’ll always have access. There’s even a small toilet between 2 of the smaller cabins.

Let’s not forget the Scandi Sauna, which has a large steam sauna, 2 hot tubs and a cold plunge!

  • Due to the unique cozy cabin accommodations, double occupancy means sharing a bed with another retreat participant. Invite a friend or step out of your comfort zone and meet a new roomie! We are aiming for summer camp vibes and this retreat is kept small to create intimacy within our group. All the cabins have outdoor lounge space, so you have a place to be on your own, too. Just let us know in your registration form if you want to room with someone specific.

More comfortable having your own space? No worries, we are offering single occupancy at an increased rate! Choose your own bed in the Mountain Manor if you still want sleepover vibes, or one of the 3 private cabins for a space all to yourself.

  • We are striving to keep the costs of this retreat low to allow for accessibility.

    Included in the retreat pricing:

    • Accommodations for 3 nights at Outside Design

    • All meals from Thursday night welcome dinner to Sunday morning brunch. (3 breakfasts, 2 lunches, 3 dinners, and obviously, snacks!)

    • Retreat Activities and transportation during retreat

    • Curated gift bag from local/sustainable brands

    Not included:

    • Airfare and travel to Salida (please reach out if you need help arranging transport and we will do our best to help)

    • Shopping around Salida, personal snacks, beverages, etc.

    • Travel/Medical insurance

  • We are still finalizing plans, but we are hoping to include:

    • Daily Yoga/ Breathwork/Meditation

    • Plant Walk/Workshop with an Herbalist

    • Paddleboarding

    • Visit to Downtown Salida

    • Hiking (easy-moderate)/Forest bathing

    • Fireside hangout/fire-gazing

    • Time to rest, journal, walk, and be on site

All activities are optional- if something’s not your vibe, just let us know. This is a weekend for you, and we support that.

  • We’re so excited to plan a delicious, nourishing weekend of meals! We hope to showcase the abundance of summer with as many local, seasonal things as possible. We will be collecting dietary preferences on the registration form and working with a dietician reviewed menu to accommodate everyone’s needs while ensuring we all get the nutrients we need for a wellness weekend.

And yes, we will have coffee (and tea!) for everyone’s cup of cozy comfort.

  • In order to promote connection with ourselves, nature, and others, we encourage you to step away from alcohol use for these few short days. Being at altitude (~7,000ft) is also a health concern in consuming alcohol.

However, this retreat is not meant to be restrictive, so basically- we’re not banning it, but we’re not bringing it!

  • The short answer, is, yes, other guests may be staying in one of the other 5 cabins on site. We have booked our 4 cabins as close together as possible (and close to the bathhouse) to keep our group cohesive.

Our retreat has The Mountain Manor, The Box Bungalow, The Forest Frame, and The Hammock Hut. The Mountain Manor has a larger space and will be the hub for our retreat activities on site.

Feel free to check out all the spaces at Outside Design Nature Hotel

  • Double Occupancy (sharing a bed with another participant) is priced at $800.

Single Occupancy (either your own bed in a shared cabin or your own cabin) is priced at $1025.

The shared cabin space has a ½ bath (toilet/sink) in the cabin, all other cabins use the central bath house or a toilet/sink between the cabins. All showers are located in the central bath house.
